We eat together, it is an important time to socialise:to learn important table manners, to learn to use correct cutlery.
We are given food choices; we learn to serve ourselves food independently and learn to monitor our eating portions to stay healthy.
Water is provided throughout the day in every classroom.
We demonstrate our independence skills at mealtimes.
We help to set the lunch tables or clear out our plates,in order to establish good manners and helpful practices .
Young babies are provided with opportunities to feed independently
Babies are provided with appropriate sized cutlery and dishes to encourage independence at feeding time.
